So what is the dark web?

The dark web is part of the hidden internet, or deep web, but unlike the deep web which refers to all unindexed websites on the internet, the dark web mainly consists of tor hidden services or .onion sites.

The Dark Web is also sometimes called Darknet, which is basically the same.

The Dark Web exists since 2009, but got more active in 2011 when dread pirate robers created the original Silk Road, which was a Dark Web marketplace which was first in using Tor and Bitcoin to make drug trades truely anonymous online.

Many people buy drugs every day on the Dark Web since then.

One of the most famous sites on the Dark Web is the so called Hidden Wiki, which is a great entry point for the Dark Web with many deep web links / Dark Web links.
